Preventive Check-up for Children

Preventive check-ups are a fundamental part of pediatric care, aiming to maintain the child’s good health, identify potential issues early, and prevent future complications. Through regular and scheduled examinations, the pediatrician monitors the child’s overall development and general health from infancy through adolescence.

Prevention is the most effective form of care, as it allows timely intervention before symptoms appear.

When Preventive Check-ups Should Take Place

Preventive check-ups are conducted at specific age intervals, as well as whenever the pediatrician deems necessary, even if the child shows no symptoms. During the visit, the following are performed:

Clinical Examination
Comprehensive assessment of the child’s overall health, including evaluation of vital signs and physical examination.

Growth Assessment
Measurement of weight, height, and head circumference, compared against growth charts for early detection of deviations.

Developmental Assessment
Monitoring of psychomotor, cognitive, and emotional development according to the child’s age.

Vision & Hearing Screening
Early assessment to identify potential issues that may affect learning and daily life.

Prevention & Vaccinations
Review and update of the vaccination schedule according to pediatric guidelines.
